Tara’s Strength’s

  • Very power zone control with her super. It opens up nasty combos with other AoE characters like Dynamike and Barley.
  • A good long-range attack that pierces targets and is useful in many situations.
  • Her point-blank damage is decently strong with all 3 cards hitting the same character.

Tara’s Weaknesses

  • Her long-range 1 on 1 isn’t all that strong.

Tips & Tactics

  • Tara’s basic attack has a very good range and is more effective when enemies are grouped up. The tarot cards can pierce through enemies and hit multiple targets at once. Each card deals 100 damage at level 1 and 125 damage when maxed per (+5 for the upgrade).
  • If you are playing against Tara, the best way to counter this skill is keeping a certain distance from your team-mates, not allowing her to make effective use of Gravity, pulling your team together and setting up the terrain to her team deal a high amount of damage at once.



Tara Strategy 101

Tara is a brawler with very specific goals when you play as her. She’s going to shine in Gem grab and Brawl Ball, and you probably want to shy away from the other game types when playing her. In Gem Grab, Tara plays as an assassin, closer to Leon and Crow in style. Her main attack is a set of tarot cards thrown away from her that will pierce all enemies It hits.

This is going to really be a key part of your focus when you play Tara, you really need those cards to hit multiple opponents so that you can charge your super quickly. This initial game phase is one of two parts that you will need to master when playing Tara. Her initial phase is going to be aggressive, trying to deal a lot of damage and set your team up in a good position, and with most of the gems.

It doesn’t matter so much if you die as her right now as you’re really only trying to support your team and build Super charge. The next phase you will go into is the assassin style play. In the mid-game, you will need to start hiding more and looking for big, game-swinging plays for your team.

Tara’s super is a gravity well that pulls brawlers into the center for a short period of time. This is going to be the moment when Tara carries the game for your team.

Don’t use your super on one player, make sure you can get two to three in your gravity before you use it. You will also want to make sure you have full ammo before you use your super as well. There’s nothing worse than when you use your super and trap three enemies, then can’t do damage to them because you just used your ammo before the fight.

Because of these stipulations that you will want to make sure are correct before using her Super, Tara’s super is something you will want to store until the right moment.

Unlike most brawlers where the more supers they can use in the game the more effective they will be, Tara’s is one you will want to wait on, make sure you will get that big swing of momentum for your team, then pop her super.

These big team plays will require you to sit and wait a fair bit, try to stay in bushes and watch key players. Hold your super until the enemy team’s gem carrier is out of position, then attack. This is one of the few times, and they key times to use your super on one brawler. If a Mortis is carrying 8 gems and is trying to get away, use your super to pull him in and steal the gems for your team. The waiting and saving will pay off playing Tara, just make sure you are ready to capitalize on your actions once you make them.
